Ben Toews
Ben’s political involvement comes from a core belief that citizens should be engaged and serve their communities. He believes in government “by the people, for the people” and the protection of God-given rights. In his current role as Idaho State Senator, he is the Vice Chair of the Senate Education Committee and serves on the Transportation and State Affairs committees.
He strives to create meaningful, healthy dialogue, listen to various points of view and make wise decisions that represent his constituents.
Mark Taylor
Mark Taylor is an attorney, currently serving as the elected Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney. After studying law and economics at the Antonin Scalia Law School, Mark investigated and prosecuted civil cases for the U.S. government for 11 years before moving his family to Jefferson County so his four children could grow up in a rural environment with a strong work ethic and conservative values rooted in personal liberty and self-reliance. He attended BYU on a leadership scholarship and is a former MTC and seminary teacher.
Mark is married to a charming frenchwoman, Elodie Taylor, and together they are raising three sons and a daughter. They are actively involved in their local home educators’ community.
Gayann DeMordaunt
Raised in Spokane, WA; B.A. in English, Brigham Young University, Provo, UT; taught ESL; founder, North Star Public Charter School; Gayann has served on the Idaho Public Charter School Commission; Red Cross Board of Idaho; board member, Reach Out Cambodia, children’s home; district chairman (14), Ada County Republicans; committee member, GOP National Platform Committee (2012); co-chairman, BYU College Republicans. Gayann was elected to serve in the Idaho House of Representatives for 3 terms, 2016-2022, representing District 14.
As a legislator Gayann received the American Conservative Union Foundation Award, CPAC (2018, 2019, 2020, 2021); Gayann and her husband, Reed, reside in Eagle, Idaho. They have six children.
Julianne Young
Julianne Young is a steadfast and articulate advocate for the principles that have made America great. During her six years of legislative experience, Julianne established a strong reputation for hard work, statesmanship, and the ability to resolve conflicts by bringing people together around principle-centered solutions. She is honored to be named by her legislative colleagues, “Idaho’s Defender of the Family.”
Outside of her public service, Julianne will soon celebrate three decades of marriage to her college sweetheart and favorite ballroom dance partner, Kevin Young. Together, they have created a close-knit, family of eight sons, two daughters, two cherished daughters-in-law, and an adorable grandson.
Her top priority is ensuring that Idaho remains a place where Idaho families can continue to thrive, now and for many years to come.
Bruce D. Skaug
Bruce D. Skaug is a fifth generation Idahoan, litigation attorney, and state legislator who lives in Canyon County. Bruce is the former President of the Nampa City Council and former Ada County Deputy Prosecutor. He is married to his college sweetheart, Debbie. They have six children and nine grandchildren.
Bruce has served or is currently serving on a number of non-profit boards including the Nampa Development Corporation, Hands of Hope, Inc., Salvation Army Advisory Board, Nampa Babe Ruth Board, The Remnant, Nampa Lions Club, Awakening Israel Ministries, Canyon County Historical Society, Lifeline Pregnancy Center, Nampa Library Board, The Southern Theological Seminary Foundation Board, Joseph Project, College Church of the Nazarene, Sovereign Grace Fellowship and, most recently Idaho Family Strong.
